I'd Rather Wear A Scarf
I'd rather wear a skirt than some slacks,
I'd rather wear a blouse than a shirt.
I'd rather wear a bra, to you I will not lie,
I'd rather wear a scarf than a tie.
BUT…
Society says you gotta be a man, cause
That's what's in your genetic plan
Dress like a girl, Son, my oh my
You can't wear no scarf-you gotta wear a tie.
I prefer silken hose over itchy socks,
I'd rather have a daiquiri than a Manhattan on the rocks.
I really prefer pink satin, camo denim just won't do,
Gray's kinda ugly `cause lavender's my hue.
BUT…
Society says you're gonna be a man, `cause
The way your built, your life's already planned
Look like a woman, Son, that'll never fly
And you can't wear no scarf-you gotta wear a tie.
I love the lap of luxury;
None of this roughing it crap for me.
Silky slips and a makeup fix,
Don't want no dirt or bugs or sticks….
Maybe someday you'll wake up to see
That you're really not too different than me.
`Cause I'm not really weird, you see,
And that this gender is my choice to be.
SO…
Society, get a clue-I'm not gonna be a man,
Because it's a feminine life I'm gonna plan
And if I don't live it, I know I'm gonna barf,
So nuts to you-I'm gonna wear a scarf!
