The Weekend Woman:Or How to Get the Most Out of Your Femme Experience,
By Dr. Minako Sakura
Let's face it: Most new Cross dressers or newly awakened Transvestites or Transgendereds often do not have the basics as to how to go about trying the
things they want to do. This book is intended to help with that. I take the time to explain some basic things that many of us take for granted in the world we
walk around in our heels.
From the Introduction: "SO...who is this for? It's for all the "rookies", the "newbies", the "virgins" who just can't seem to find anything like this on the Web,
yet don't have time or friends to help figure out basic items. Like how to figure your bra size. Where to buy makeup...and what to buy once you're there.
What is your shoe size? Really basic things that some of us have moved past, and forget that not all of you are as fortunate as some of us are...or have been."
It is designed for true beginners to very early intermediates only, and not for those among us who have gone out over a long time. It covers basic tips on
clothing, makeup, cleanliness, mannerisms (and how to develop them), as well as some other stuff that I never found when I was just starting...things that
This picks up where "The Weekend Woman" leaves off. This has a more details for those of you who want to go out and dance the night away. From the
Introduction: "Many of you, when you get to this point, are a bit more serious about your Transgenderism. You are looking at getting out of your closet and
hitting the dance floor. (Or at the very least, the mall.) You might be wondering, 'Can I really do this?' You can. (Honey, if I can do it, anyone can.) Which is
not to oversimplify matters, but to point out that if I can go from zero to woman in a short time, so can you. You are thinking about maybe living it out more
than just an hour or two every so often-you're looking more like up to 50% or more of your time spent as a woman."
Designed for early intermediates to those looking to live at least part time (50% or so) en femme. It covers actually going out, picking your name, hormones
yes or no, faith issues, the Gay question and some other things to be aware of.
This is an advanced look at living at least 75% of your time as a woman. I highly recommed you purchase "Steppin' Out on Saturday Night" and read it first.
From the Introduction: "Why another book? Simple: because Monday finally comes. You've enjoyed your weekend, and now Friday is five days out, and you
think to yourself, 'If I have to go back to being male for five more days I will absolutely hurl. I wish I could be a woman, or at least, live more like one.' Dressing
as a woman in the evenings helps a little, but not enough. Not nearly enough. If this describes you, then this book is for you-if you want/need more of being
feminine."
This looks at some very practical issues. Finances. PO Boxes. Name changes. Transgender Psychology. Harry Benjamin and the Standards of Care. Another,
deeper look at hormones. Travelling as a woman. Coming out. This gives you some stuff you really need to consider before moving forward.
Day to Day Women: Interviews from Inside, Outside,
and Under the Transgender Umbrella
By Dr. Minako Sakura
Too often, Transsexuals, the Transgendered and Cross-Dressers are shown in a less than flattering light. Often depicted as driven by/for sex, we are shown to
the world as everything from a comedic joke or a bad punch line, pedophiles, sex fiends or worse.
This book is an attempt to shoot a hole into that balloon. "Day to Day Women" is about those of us who are under the Transgender umbrella.
The premise is simple: Questions were asked of a number of Crossdressers, Transvestites and Transsexuals, and those who have become women via
Sexual Reassignment Surgery.
Their responses show a side of the Transgender movement that is not often enough seen or heard from. It shows that, by and large, we simply want to
live our lives as the women we are...or want to become.
